libdevel-gdb-perl software package provides Open and communicate a gdb session, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdevel-gdb-perl
libdevel-gdb-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdevel-gdb-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdevel-gdb-perl *
You will get with libdevel-gdb-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
